A junior is under the age of 16 years old (as of 1 January 2024).
Valid concession types are as follows:
Holders of a Pension Card issued by:
- Department of Health and Community Services
- Department of Community Services
- Department of Veteran Affairs
- Pension Types include:
- Aged Pension
- Disability Support
- War Veteran
- Single Supporting Parents
- Disability Carers
- War Widows
- TPI Pensions
- Carers Card
Student concession types include:
- Full time Secondary School Students (16-18)
All Concession ticket holders must produce their Concession cards at the gate.
Membership Card and Pack Replacement Fee/Change of Address
All Members are entitled to a Membership card prior to the start of each season. Members requiring a replacement card resulting from a lost Membership card will be charged an additional $10 fee to have the card re-sent. Members who fail to advise the Thunder of a change of address will be charged an additional $10 fee if a replacement card and Member pack is required.
Membership Cancellation, Downgrades & Refunds
Membership applications will be processed as received and cannot be withdrawn once processed. The contents of the Membership forms and online pricing were correct at the time of publication and the Sydney Thunder, except as set out in these Terms & Conditions, takes no responsibility for any omissions, errors or changes that may occur.
In the event of an exceptional circumstance, requests for refunds, cancellations and downgrades should be made in writing to the Thunder Membership Team and will be assessed by Thunder Management. Granting of refunds, either in full or partially, is wholly at the discretion of the Sydney Thunder. Cancellation fees may apply.
Discounts for No Play or Limited Play/No Result
In these circumstances BBL|13 Members will not be eligible for refunds although special consideration may be given where there are extenuating factors.
Sydney Thunder game access Members may be eligible for a 14% discount off their BBL|14 Membership if there is no result in any of the Sydney Thunder BBL home games during the home and away part of the BBL|13 season. This discount is only available if:
- less than 6 overs were played during the whole home Game; and
- there was no result recorded in the home Game,
AND subject always to the following:
This discount applies to Full Season Game Access Memberships only. For the avoidance of doubt, Captains’ Club and Full Season (Reserved and General Admission) Memberships qualify for this discount:
Membership for BBL|14 needs to be the equivalent category and price type to the Member’s BBL|13 Membership;
Members will only be entitled to this discount if they renew for the BBL|14 season;
This discount will not apply if the Member has a Membership that permits game attendance at a specified number of home games (e.g., 2 games) and that Member did attend that number of home games in respect of which there was a result (e.g. in the event the Member has purchased a General Admission 2 Game Membership and they attended 2 games that are not ‘no result’ games, then irrespective of whether other home games result in a ‘no result’, this discount will not apply;
The discount is capped at 14%. If multiple home games have no result, a maximum total of 14% will be subtracted from the Member’s BBL|14 Membership fee.
The discount and application of discount to Membership packages will be communicated by Sydney Thunder prior to the BBL|14 season, if a no result is recorded during the BBL|13 season on the terms described above.
Please note that this discount is applicable for Sydney Thunder’s BBL home games only and does not apply in connection with a no result in away games, any Big Bash Finals games, WBBL games or Sheffield Shield games.
We will not be liable for any other losses incurred by you as a result of the cancellation, rescheduling or relocation of an event, including any travel and accommodation expenses.
All Membership prices are inclusive of GST.
Membership Payment Program
All Members paying via credit card (VISA, Mastercard or American Express) or debit card backed by VISA or Mastercard, regardless of package type or payment method (upfront or instalments), agree to be opted in for the Membership Payment Program, facilitating automatic rollover of your membership from year to year on these terms and conditions.
Members can only opt out of Membership Payment Program at the conclusion of their last instalment and before the first instalment for the following season by notifying the Club either in writing or via email. All outstanding payments must be complete at the time of opting out.
Membership will be automatically renewed into the same package(s) and seat(s) for subsequent seasons, at the updated and relevant price, using the same payments details as the previous season, unless otherwise advised.
Prior to the rollover, Members will receive written notice via email to the Members email address supplied, which details the pricing for the following season and provides a 21 day opt-out period.
During this opt-out period, Members must notify the Sydney Thunder via email or phone if they do not wish to rollover (strict deadlines apply). Members wishing to cancel after the deadline date will incur a cancellation fee.
Part Payment Terms & Conditions
If you elected to pay for your Membership by part payments, you are required to have paid your Membership in full by the date of the last instalment. You can make alternate arrangements by contacting the Membership team on 1300 569 979 or emailing email@example.com. If any instalment payment is declined twice, the Sydney Thunder may suspend any benefits of the Membership including cancelling your Membership card barcode for such period as any instalments remain outstanding.
There are provisions of the Australian Consumer Law (and other legislation) that either cannot be excluded, restricted or modified, or can only be restricted or modified to a limited extent. These Terms & Conditions are to be read subject to those provisions and nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any such provisions. Subject to that, any representations or warranties not expressly set out in these Terms & Conditions are excluded.
At any time that you enter Sydney Thunder web site (sydneythunder.com.au or https://am.ticketmaster.com/sy...) you agree to be bound by the terms governing use of the web site which are in force at that time.
Your Sydney Thunder Membership entitles you to purchase additional reserved sear tickets to Thunder homes games during the regular season at a 10% discount through Ticketmaster.com.au. Purchase of additional tickets is subject to availability. Finals tickets are not included.
Tickets are non-refundable and not transferrable except in the case of Game Abandonment or the event is cancelled, rescheduled, or relocated.
There is no limit on the number of additional ticket purchase transactions Members can make in a season, but each transaction will be subject to the game venue’s ticket limit purchases per transaction.
To obtain the discount Members must enter their unique Membership promo code provided in the Membership confirmation email and Membership Pack, prior to finalising the purchase with Ticketmaster. No compensation will be awarded if the Member fails to add the promotional code prior to finalising the purchase, and subsequently did not receive the discount.
If the event is cancelled, rescheduled, or relocated all liability is limited to the amount for which the ticket was purchased (including any fees or charges). We will not be liable for any other losses incurred by you as a result of the cancellation, rescheduling or relocation of an event, including any travel and accommodation expenses.
Your Sydney Thunder Membership does not entitle you to access to tickets for the Finals Series.
If the Sydney Thunder qualify to participate in a Semi-finals or Finals game to be played at Sydney Showground Stadium with the Thunder designated as ‘home’ team (having finished 1st or 2nd after the round games) then all Thunder Members will be provided with a priority access period to purchase tickets to this game.
The details of the priority access period, including dates, times and requirements will be communicated to all Members via email in the lead up to this period.
Sydney Thunder Members are entitled to 10% off full priced Sydney Thunder merchandise at the Cricket Australia online store (shop.cricket.com.au). Offer not valid at Rebel or any other store selling Sydney Thunder merchandise.
To obtain the discount Members must enter the promotional code provided in the Membership confirmation email and Membership wallet, prior to completing their purchase. No compensation will be awarded if the Member fails to add the promotional code prior to finalising the purchase, and subsequently did not receive the discount.
Purchases made will be subject to the terms and conditions of the Cricket Australia online store.
If the discount options are not taken, Members are not entitled to any refund or credit.
Sydney Thunder Members are provided discounts to partner businesses of the Sydney Thunder . Details of these discounts and how to activate them will be provided in the Membership Pack.
Sydney Thunder have no liability in relation to Member dealings with partner businesses, and if the discount options are not taken, Members are not entitled to any refund or credit.
